JUNITEC currently has more than 80 active members and an extensive alumni network, and is the current holder of the national "Junior Enterprise of the Year" award for 2026, for the 5th consecutive year.

Consultancy

The Consultancy department is responsible for attracting, monitoring and delivering technological service projects and collaborative projects with partners around a technological project, whether it is technology-based or more strategic in nature.

JUNITEC's Innovation Hub is an innovation and entrepreneurship programme that guides students from ideation to the creation of start-ups. The journey includes validating ideas, developing prototypes and presenting them to investors, with the support of ongoing mentoring, events and the Apollo programme for accelerating startups and university spin-offs.

The biggest university hackathon in Portugal, organised by JUNITEC since 2017. It challenges university students to develop technological and entrepreneurial projects in 5 thematic categories, with transport, accommodation, meals and mentoring included. It has brought together more than 800 participants from 70+ universities, distributed €60,000+ in prizes and had 180+ projects developed.

At JUNITEC, social responsibility is the philosophy that guides everything we do. It goes beyond technological projects and translates into concrete actions: monetary donations, an internal volunteer programme and environmental, social and governance sustainability initiatives, with the aim of generating a real impact on people and the community.
